Monday Math Facts 11/5/13
Hey folks,
My apologies for not putting this up last night. First, a few announcements:
1. PARENT-TEACHER conferences are NEXT WEEK. Please sign up online...the form was sent home in Friday Folders.
2. A permission slip to walk to Eaglecrest to watch a play was in Friday folders
3. There is NO spelling this week. Math homework will begin tomorrow.
Now, we're on the 12x table:
12x1 = 12
12x2 = 24
12x3 = 36
12x4 = 48
12x5 = 60
12x6 = 72
12x7 = 84
12x8 = 96
12x9 = 108
12x10 = 120
12x11 = 132
12x12 = 144
There's a nice little pattern to those multiples...have them memorized for Friday! Good luck!

As many of you know, tonight is very, very important. Why, you ask? Of course, because tonight is GAME 1 OF THE WORLD SERIES, featuring the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals!

I happened to be looking at a lovely piece of artwork a former student gave me, in which he melted the ends of crayons and let it drip down the canvas. That got me thinking!
1. When was the Binney and Smith (Crayola crayon company) first founded?
2. How many different boxes were originally offered?
3. How many different colors were originally offered?
