Monday Math Facts and Tuesday Trivia

Hey folks,

WELCOME BACK! It was a long summer, and I'm really happy to be back at school and working with all of you again. Don't forget that back to school night is tomorrow at 5:30!

I forgot to post our first multiplication table last night, so here it is:

3x1 = 3
3x2 = 6
3x3 = 9
3x4 = 12
3x5 = 15
3x6 = 18
3x7 = 21
3x8 = 24
3x9 = 27
3x10 = 30
3x11 = 33
3x12 = 36

Have them memorized and ready to recite for Friday to win some good bucks!

Here's this week's trivia question:
Speaking of good bucks, let's talk money. Unfortunately, people can't make their own money (or we'd all be rich) and the US government only prints or mints so much money every year.
1. What are the two cities that have US Mint buildings where they make all of our money?
2. Paper money doesn't last forever. What is the "life span" (time in circulation) of the average one-dollar bill?

Good luck! Bring in your answers tomorrow!

Mr. C
