Monday Math Facts (and some Tuesday Trivia)

Hey everyone!

Sorry to just be posting now...I had to go take PETEY for a long run!

First...we're working on the 8x table this week. You have until NEXT Friday to study, so expect to be giving away a lot of tickets.

8x1 = 8
8x2 = 16
8x3 = 24
8x4 = 32
8x5 = 40
8x6 = 48
8x7 = 56 (favorite!)
8x8 = 64
8x9 = 72
8x10 = 80
8x11 = 88
8x12 = 96

Then, as promised...some Tuesday Trivia. Get your answers in TOMORROW!

Thanksgiving is this Thursday, so how about some turkey-day history? 1. Where is it believed that the first Thanksgiving feast took place in the United States? 2. What year is it rumored to have taken place? (There is a lot of different ideas about the holiday, so research carefully!) BONUS QUESTION: After Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a national holiday, what other November holiday ceased to be recognized by almost every US state?

Good luck!

Mr. C (and Petey)
